Prior to joining this program, I didn’t know what business analysis was. I was a completely blank slate and couldn’t figure out how I could go from that state to gaining the level of confidence I would need to start out in the field. When the program started, I was pleasantly surprised. The in-class portion of the course improved my confidence level each week. By the end of that phase, not only was I feeling very confident, but I also took the scrum master certification exam and passed, thanks to my excellent preparation for this course. Then came the project phase. I worked on real-world projects and learned to do things that some BAs with years of experience are not privy to. I learned proper and detailed documentation skills, and process modeling skills and gained hands-on practice with testing, as well as with using several industry-standard project management tools. Experts in the field were also brought in frequently to share their stories. The program mentors were incredibly attentive and supportive every step of the way, making sure we were always making progress. I learned how to walk the walk and talk the talk of a BA. Come time to prepare for the job market, they provided ample help with resume and interview prep and supported me all the way until I found a job. This entire experience has been incredibly valuable. Definitely worth its weight in gold!
